Discount briefcases are some of the cheapest briefcases available. They are sold well below their original market price to attract more buyers. Any type of briefcase can be a discount briefcase once it is placed on sale. You just pray that there aren't too many takers so that those items will be placed on sale for a longer period.
Even when discounted, expensive briefcases like business briefcases and executive briefcases are still a bit pricey. Since these briefcases were originally sold at high prices, sellers can only lower their prices up to some extent. Most of them are still more expensive than regular briefcases. Doesn't sound like much of a discount right? Don't worry. There is a modified haggling method that consumers can apply to get even lower prices.
Haggling can be an emotionally taxing activity but if you apply it correctly, you can sucker most salesladies to bring down the price of discounted briefcases. Of course, seasoned salesladies are trained to turn disarm regular haggling, which is why you should mix-in a little bit of psychology. Once you enter a discount briefcase store, don't entirely focus on the briefcase that you would want to purchase. Examine the other items near your target so that the salesladies wouldn't detect your true intention of purchasing the briefcase. If they notice that you are interested in purchasing the item, then they won't lower its price even further.
Ask the salesladies about the prices of each item you examined along with your target. Expectedly, they will inform you about the discounted price of those items. Now, focus on your target and your second choice. Ask the salesperson, “What's the last price that you can give me for each item?” If the salesperson doesn't budge, tell them that the discounted prices of their competitor's products are just as low as theirs. Once again ask them about the last price that they can give you for the item. If they still don't budge, tell them, “I guess I'll just return next time.” Examine the item once again and head for the exit. Remember to move very slowly, so that they will get a chance to stop you by stating a lower price. Watch them walk after you with ridiculously low offers right after.
If this method fails, you'll still get a consolation prize. At least you wouldn't have to pay the original price of your desired discounted briefcase.
